Alex has been feeling better.  My wife decided to take him off one of his medications and this seems to have had a positive effect on him.  I did a TV interview and they decided to film a second interview which will be aired at a later date.  We will most likely upload both interviews soon.  The first interview can be viewed on the website of The Harvest Show.  I ended up signing some books in the Notre Dame bookstore while I was in South Bend.  I will be on the Catholic Channel of Sirius/XM radio this Tuesday somewhere between 9:00am and 9:30am.  Also on Tuesday, I will be doing an interview on with former OSU and NFL player Ray Ellis and New Orleans Saints player Malcolm Jenkins at 1:00 pst.

Alex Is Struggling

Posted: July 8, 2010 in Uncategorized

Alex has been struggling to get air in his lungs all day.  My wife has worked feverishly to keep Alex from having to make yet another hospital visit.  Alex actually looks pretty good and his attitude is upbeat as usual.  Please pray that we will be able to get to the bottom of the issue which has kept him from being able to sit up in his chair or go anywhere for several months.

Again, if you have read all or part of the book, please feel free to ask me questions.

I will be doing a radio interview on July 12 at 11:15am on a national radio show on American Family Radio.

I will be doing a national radio interview on July 14 at 11am on Campus Crusade for Christ program

The book is officially in bookstores today.  Thank you to all of you who read the first chapter and sent me so many words of encouragement.  I hope that the words that I write here can be beneficial to others. Feel free to write comments and ask questions.  I will do my best to address whatever issues you would like to hear about.  One question that I am already being asked just from Chapter 1 is, “Did Alex really say the things that are in the book.?”  If you wonder about this, it is OK. My own father called and asked me this question.  The answer is pretty straight forward.  All of Alex’s writing was dictated to be and no words were added to enhance any story.  Alex has had a heavenly experience and he has also always had a fairly substantial vocabulary.

I will try to review this site daily and keep up with your response.  I will also give updates on what is happening in our family and where I will be speaking. The following sites also have information about the book.

In 2004, Kevin Malarkey and his six-year-old son, Alex, suffered an horrific car accident. The impact from the crash paralyzed Alex—and medically speaking, it was unlikely that he could survive. “I think Alex has gone to be with Jesus,” a friend told the stricken dad. But two months later, Alex awoke from a coma with an incredible story to share. Of events at the accident scene and in the hospital while he was unconscious. Of the angels that took him through the gates of heaven itself. Of the unearthly music that sounded just terrible to a six-year-old. And, most amazing of all . . . Of meeting and talking to Jesus. The Boy Who Came Back from Heaven is the true story of an ordinary boy’s most extraordinary journey. As you see heaven and earth through Alex’s eyes, you’ll come away with new insights on miracles, life beyond this world, and the power of a father’s love.
